Has anybody noticed how Lance Armstrong's ex-wife Kristen has recently become an atheltic celbrity herself? She's written a couple of columns for Runner's World, and has been a celebrity participant in a couple of marathons, including this year's New York Marathon. I think she finished under 4 hours too. Good for her!

I have to think it's a little awkward for Lance, though. By all accounts, he's not the easiest person to get along with on a personal level. Even his own books make him sound like a jerk in parts.

Yeah, as much as I admire Lance Armstrong as an athlete, I'm really pretty sick of him and his rock star status. I watched the Tour de France pretty religiously every night this past summer, and all the Lance worship and interviews with Cheryl Crow got to be a bit much to stomach. Good for his ex, if she's able to take away a bit of the limelight.
