You begin with a beautiful new pair that looks and feels great, but by middle age those shoes have become a bit taken for granted. Eventually they're retired to indoor duty, save for occasional trips to the grocery store. Late in their life they may take a turn as yard work shoes, before finally taking their place out with the banana peels and kitchen trash.
