I discovered yesterday that I had accidentally told my TiVo that I had a different cable lineup than I really do, with the result that several channels were erroneously hidden to me. Suddenly I now get several new channels, including OLN (Outdoor Living Network). This channel seems to have a lot of running and endurance sports coverage. Just today I found the Chicago Marathon and Ironman Wisconsin showing. Unfortunately the Chicago Marathon coverage turned out to be a listings error, and it was actually some special about funny animal encounters. Getting Ironman Wisconsin was cool, though.

The ads they show during triathlons are funny. How did Michelob Ultra get associated with running? Do people really want to drink beer after a hard race?

Yes.

Nothing like doing a 4 hour long run through the woods and settling down to a greasy burger and a cold brew.
