An Arizona golf pro died during last week's Disney Half-Marathon. Authorities say William Kane collapsed after he crossed the finish line, and later died at an Orlando hospital. The 43-year-old Kane played golf professionally until 1992. An autopsy revealed that he suffered from a congenital heart problem and heart disease. Kane ran the course in 2:27:36, ahead of at least half of the almost 12,000 competitors. This was not the first death to occur at the Disney races: In 2000, a 56-year-old Canadian runner collapsed a little more than a mile into the 26.2-mile Disney Marathon and died shortly after from an apparent heart attack.
