Buying A New Treadmill

If you're looking for a new treadmill, you're not alone. Thanks to New Year's resolutions and foul winter weather, sales typically jump during mid-winter. Fred Waters has a great overview of what to look for in a new treadmill. While you can find prices as low as $200 for non-motorized treadmills, you'll be purchasing throw-away equipment. Expect to pay at least $1000 to $2000 for a durable treadmill suitable for serious running with a good sized deck, wide belt, and reasonably powerful motor. You'll also want to look for a treadmill with a generous warranty, since repairs are commonly needed even for the best equipment.
