Marathon runner dies of injuries

Scary... a runner was killed in a hit-and-run accident not far from where I live. She was going to run the LA Marathon this weekend, but now her friends and family will be attending her memorial service instead.

Nobody saw it happen. She was found in a ditch by a park worker. I guess that should be a reminder to all of us to be extra careful when running near traffic, especially when using headphones as she was. Having the right of way won't be much consolation if a car hits you.
