USTAF "America's Running Routes"

Hey, have any of you ever checked this out? "Using cutting edge technology provided by Google Maps, USATF has developed a revolutionary service, America's Running Routes, that allows runners to map and measure their favorite running routes and then save them to the largest searchable database of running routes in the country." I'd used Google Earth to validate the length of some of my routes that include trail segments, but didn't know there was anywhere to save and share such routes. I found a couple that had been entered by a guy just up the street from me! Pretty cool!

Cool! I found a couple of running routes in my town too. They're all just random loops around neighborhood streets near someone's house, though, and not especially interesting. It was hoping they might reveal some more hidden running hideaways that I'd overlooked.

I heard about this on the RuncastWeekly podcast earlier in the week and checked it out. I managed to add on of my favorite routes and found it quite easy to do. But, now that I have the Garmin Forerunner GPS, it would be nice if they had a way to upload a route from a GPS device like the Forerunner (i.e GPX - GPS XML file). Otherwise it's difficult to add routes on trails because they don't show up on the Google map and using the satelite images doesn't necessarily help.
