Paula Radcliffe Races Her Body Clock
Submitted by Rickshaw :: Wed May 10, 2006 10:39 am
Marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe has spoken about her desire to have children, raising speculation about if or when she might step away from her stellar running career to start a family. The 32-year-old Radcliffe and her husband/coach Gary Lough would already have children by now if she hadn't been running, according to her interview. Said Radcliffe, "I do think about children all the time. My body clock has started ticking. But my career is quite a selfish one." Having missed last month's London Marathon and still trying to recover from injury, could now be the time? It's a painfully difficult decision that elite women athletes like Radcliffe are forced to face.
