Snowy Run

Just wanted to let you all know that it's a perfect snowy day here in upstate New York, with 2-3" of fresh power and big flakes still coming down, and almost no wind. I'm headed out for a Currier & Ives 10-miler!

Ho ho ho! Sounds beautiful. And you can have a steaming cup of hot chocolate when you get back. :-)

Actually, I found that I'd forgotten just how tiring running in loose snow is! Hardest 10-miler I've done in weeks, and 15 seconds slower than normal "easy" pace, too. It was windier than I'd thought too, and naturally I was running into the wind for the 5 miles back home. Brrr. Now where's my YMCA card? Mmmm, nice warm treadmills...

Can't wait for it, I'm heading back to Canada for Christmas vacation, and I have to get in some runs! It'll probably be nice and snowy/cold like yours! I've been spoiled by the California weather.. :)
