If I'm counting the days right, sfird should be back from his tropical island vacation about now. How'd it go? Did you bring back any sunshine for us? :-)

I got back from St. Maarten on Friday. My wife and I had a wonderful trip. Alot of sun, beaches and great food. I also managed to squeeze in 7 runs although most were on a treadmill as the roads are not the best to run on. Since I've been home I run another two times so I'm off to a great start for the year. Only gained two pounds while I was away which considering the food and especially the desserts, I was quite surprised. Of course, now I'm experiencing vacation lag. It usually takes me a week to get back into the swing of things.

Welcome back. I'm actually quite impressed that you kept up your running while in St. Maarten. I'm not sure I would have had the necessary discipline!

From what I remember, you had an incredible number of runs last year so I'm sure you would have had the discipline to run while on vacation. Anyway, I had to do something between going to the beach and going out to dinner!
