uh oh - chest issues Posted: Tue Apr 04, 2006 10:48 am

My doctor prescribed antibiotics yesterday, for the chronic chest congestion I've had for the past couple of weeks. So far they're not helping, though. In fact, if anything I feel a bit worse. Fortunately it doesn't seem to have slowed me down too much, and I don't feel sick, other than constantly coughing up big phleghm wads from my lungs. Yum. I'm not too worried, since there are still two weeks for this to clear up, but it's a nuisance.

Gosh, you just got the antibiotics yesterday...give 'em a chance to kick in. My bet is that the antibiotics will start to make a difference in the next couple of days and if it doesn't affect your training you should be strong and healthy with a week to go before the Marathon.

I'm sending positive thought vibes your way. Good luck!

I agree - antibiotics take a few days to build up (which is why they tell you to make sure to take them all).

Best thoughts your way!
