There are some rumors spinning about a new product coming soon from Garmin: the Forerunner 301. Supposedly it will have a heart rate monitor built in, eliminating one of the few weak points of the Forerunner vs. competing products. http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/GarminF/

It's not so bad. It's actually smaller than it seems from the photos-- about the size of two standard sports watches, maybe. It's definitely much less geeky than the Fitsense FS-1, which looks like you've got a Star Trek command console strapped to your arm.

Hey, Iresemble that remark. The fs-1 doesn't look so bad. It just doesn't work in the snow. Or maybe I was running
3 min. miles...Yeah that's the ticket, 3 min miles in the woods, uphill, in two feet of snow, yeah.
